Hayso — Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 August 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels, tracking scripts — work in comparable ways. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
Under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we must ask your permission before placing any cookie that isn't strictly necessary for the Site to work.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary — no consent required
These are needed for the Site to function or to remember your privacy choices. They are set regardless of your preferences.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
hayso_cookie_consent |
Hayso (first party) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so we don't ask again | 6 months |
[__vercel_live_token / security tokens, if present] |
Vercel | Site delivery and protection against abuse | Session |
Analytics — only with your consent
These help us understand which pages people visit so we can improve the Site. Nothing in this section loads unless you click "Accept" on the cookie banner.
We use PostHog for analytics, on PostHog's EU Cloud. Your analytics information is stored in Frankfurt, Germany, and is not linked to your email address or the waiting list.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_<span class="todo">[project_key]</span>_posthog |
PostHog | Stores a randomly generated identifier so we can tell whether a visit is a new one or a return visit, plus basic session information | 12 months |
ph_optout |
PostHog | Records that you have opted out, so we don't measure your visits | 12 months |
Marketing and advertising
We do not currently use any advertising or marketing cookies. We don't run ad pixels, and we don't share information about your visit with advertising networks.
What isn't a cookie
The campaign information in the links we share (UTM parameters such as utm_source and utm_campaign) travels in the web address itself, not in a cookie. We store it alongside your waiting-list sign-up so we know which channel brought you to us. This is explained in our Privacy Policy.
3. Managing your choices
On this Site: click Cookie settings in the footer at any time to change or withdraw your consent. Rejecting non-essential cookies won't stop you from using the Site or joining the waiting list.
In your browser: you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Site may not work properly. Instructions are available from your browser's help pages.
4. Changes
We'll update this policy when we add or remove cookies. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
